Product Description
Sometimes you find hope in the last place you look. Gabrielle Fairbanks has nearly lost touch with the carefree, spirited young woman she was shen she married her husband sixteen years ago. But when the couple moves to Chicago to accommodate Philip's ambition, Gabby longs for the chance to find real purpose in her own life. A chance encounter with a homeless woman suddenly opens a dooor she never expected. The women of Manna House Women's Shelter need a Program Director--and she has the right credentials. Gabby's in her element, feeling God's call on her life at last, even though Philip doesn't like the changes he sees in her. But she never anticipated his ultimatum: quit your job at the shelter or risk divorce and losing custody of our sons. In this moment, Gabby's entire foundation shifts. She must find refuge, as in the song they sing at Sunday worship: "Where do I go when there's no one else to turn to . . . I go to the Rock I know that's able, I go to the Rock." For everyone who loves the best-selling Yada Yada Prayer Group novels comes a brand new series sprinkled with familiar faces and places from the Yada Yada world. It's the perfect novel to start with--or to meet friends from past Yada stories.

 | Didn't want to like this but.......... Dec 11, 2009 |
Really I didn't even want to like this. Being a great fan of the Yada, Yada series I was disappointed that Neta Jackson was starting a new series that the characters from Yada would appear in but not be central to the story. I figured if the characters I loved were just going to skim the sides of the story it wasn't worth it and a new character couldn't be as good as the ones I knew. Boy was I wrong. I just finished "Where Do I Go?" and immediately picked up "Who Do I Talk To?" (I'm on chapter two now). I admit sometimes I wanted to scream through the pages for Gabby to stand up and give her husband a real piece of her mind but despite not completely relating to her character she still pulled me in and page after page I wanted to know more and find out what happens to her. And it turns out the Yada characters do more than just float in and out of the book - they're a big part of the story and if you know them already it's fun to see how they look through Gabby's eyes. In all Neta Jackson has started another great series; I'm looking forward to finishing the next book and I'm being spoiled by reading them back to back because I'm sure when I'm done I'll be waiting very impatiently for #3. | | | | Don't want the book to end. | There are so many wonderful reviews already that I don't feel as though I can contribute any more, except to say that I find the story so rich and powerful that I don't want it to end. I read, re-read, and relish each page. | | | | Yada Yada House of Hope Series Nov 2, 2009 |
I just finished Where do I go? and just picked up Who do I talk to? It was a great continuation of the Yada Yada Prayer Group Series. I love Neta Jackson's writings.. There is just enough of the fiction and just enough of the Christian Story to make everyone happy!! But dont get me wrong I LOVE IT JUST THE WAY IT IS!! Keep up the great work NETA!! | | | | Sickly Sweet Oct 22, 2009 |
| I am all for a feel good beachy read kind of book, but this one was just over the top for me. Perhaps it was this cold and damp Chicago weather that ruined it for me, but I just couldn't relate at all to the characters in this book. | | | | Oh my gosh! Sep 27, 2009 |
Neta Jackson outdid herself this time. The endearing new believer, the sleazebag husband, the innocent children and all the characters from Manna House - some new and some from Neta Jackson's previous series- this book is definitely worth the time to read it. I can't wait to enjoy the next in this series. | | | Write your own review about Where Do I Go? (Yada Yada House Of Hope V1)
